Have a Post Workout Plan to Keep you Healthy and Injury Free

It’s the moments between. It’s easy to forget, to disregard how vital those minutes, hours and days are between workouts to the quality of training. But our post-workout routines can have a tremendous impact on recovery and your ability to prevent injuries. (more…)

Why should I use Plate Loaded Equipment?

By Wayne Westcott, Nautilus Institute™ Contributing Expert

I personally like to train with plate-loaded equipment because I am a visual individual and find that the large weight plates are highly reinforcing to my exercise efforts. Also, the fact that I can train independently without spotters or a partner makes plate loaded machines more accommodating to my schedule. Finally, the solid feel and fixed movement patterns of the machines enable me to put maximum effort into each exercise repetition, thereby enhancing my training effect. To me, plate loaded equipment combines the best features of free weights and weight stack machines.
